USAID offers grants for diversification of Moldovan wine export markets

Chisinau, July 19. /MOLDPRES/- USAID announces the launch of the Moldovan Wine Export Promotion Grant Program, aimed at supporting winemakers in the country in diversifying export markets, sustainable growth and strengthening the position of Moldovan Wine in the world. The launch event will take place on July 20 at the Mediacor headquarters.
The grant program, as part of the USAID Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity (RCRA) has a total budget of 13 million lei (650 thousand euros).
Moldovan wine exporters can apply for grants of up to one million lei per company, depending on the business category. The eligibility criteria, selection and evaluation of the projects will be taken into account in a competitive process, and it is estimated that about 20 companies in the wine sector will benefit from non-refundable financial support.
"All interested wine exporters are encouraged to participate and take advantage of this opportunity to obtain non-refundable financial support for the development and promotion of Moldovan wine exports. The deadline is November 30 with subsequent application periods on July 31, September 29 and November 30, 2023," said USAID.
This initiative is carried out in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova and the National Office of Vine and Wine.
