Chisinau, July 20. /MOLDPRES/- New Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros presented today the priorities of the institution he leads. Among them are reducing intervention time in risk situations, zero tolerance for corruption and care for employees.
The new head of the MAI said that the first priority of his activity concerns reducing incident response time to 15 minutes. "This requires not only getting to the spot quickly, but it is necessary to consider both the protection of the victims and the intervention forces, so that they act professionally. That is why it is necessary to reevaluate the intervention procedures in order to have properly planned teams, which ensure a good coverage of the national territory. We need teams equipped with everything necessary to intervene professionally", he said.
Efros said he will not tolerate cases of corruption. "I have zero tolerance for corruption. I am the enemy of systemic corruption and any isolated cases. I assure you that in the operations to prevent and fight corruption crimes, they will have the necessary resources to find out the truth and hold the guilty people accountable," he said.
He added that the demands on employees in the MAI system must be balanced with an adequate social package and a transparent guide that ensures career predictability. Another priority announced by the MAI leadership is increasing citizens' trust in the internal affairs system. "All our actions will be guided by three principles: order, discipline and coordination," Efros concluded.
New Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros was sworn in on July 17, after Ana Revenco resigned.
