Chisinau, July 25. /MOLDPRES/- Local representatives of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia ask PAS deputies to withdraw from the legislative procedure the draft law launched by the head of the parliamentary commission for economy, budget and finance, Radu Marian, saying that the economic agents operating in Gagauzia and contribute to the formation of the budget of the autonomy, should receive VAT refunds from the local budget and not from the national budget, as is now. A resolution on the matter has been recently approved by the local representatives in Gagauzia.
Under the resolution, it is proposed to convene a meeting of the working group tp consider the legislative initiative aimed at Gagauzia, which includes both deputies from the current government and those from the opposition, as well as the local representatives of the region.
The document also provides for the organization of a working meeting in Gagauzia, with the invitation of Speaker Igor Grosu, and author of the bill, deputy Radu Marian, to "discuss the risks of approving such a legislative initiative".
As a reaction, PAS deputy Radu Marian wrote on a social network that "the draft law on the return of VAT from Gagauzia budget account is about the elimination of undeserved privileges".
Regarding the disturbance of the People's Assembly deputies from autonomy, Radu Marian states that "public consultations will be held at the Parliament, as is done in the case of other draft laws, with the invitation of all those concerned".
"Anyway, I would have liked to see a special meeting of the popular assembly in Gagauzia and when the criminal group bought votes left and right in the elections for governor. Each with his own priorities", he said.
On July 18, Radu Marian announced the registration of a draft law, which would make more fairness in the relationship between the national public budget and the budget of the Gagauz autonomy. By passing this draft law, over the next five years, savings to the national budget of over five hundred million lei are anticipated, money that will be able to be invested throughout the country, not just in one administrative-territorial unit.
