Over 200 children refugees from Ukraine attend Development Centre at Licurici Puppet Theatre from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - Over 200 children refugees from Ukraine weekly participate in activities organized by the Educative Centre for Development and Recreation at the Licurici Republican Puppet Theatre.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the theatre’s director, Ala Toma, stressed that the Centre had been opened in last April. Teachers from both Moldova and Ukraine work at this Centre.
„A variety of activities for children with ages between 4 and 12 years are daily organized here. They participate in activities of art, graphic design, junior robotics, hand-made, sand-play therapy, neuro-graphic art and others. At the same time, their parents are able to get involved in activities, to communicate and interact in a pleasant and friendly environment. Also, once per week, the group of parents refugees enjoy activities of therapy through art. During breaks, the Centre’s beneficiaries enjoy light and warm meals,’’ Ala Toma said.
The activities are carried out within the project, Integrated services of social protection and immediate response to the needs of the children and families refugees from Ukraine and of those from the host community. The project is implemented by the Pas cu Pas (Step by Step) Educational Programme, with the financial support of World Vision Ukraine Response.
Also, for more than one year, families of Ukraine have been benefiting from free of charge tickets for plays of the Licurici Republican Puppet Theatre.
