Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with delegation of Lithuanian parliament

Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian today had a meeting with representatives of the delegation of the Seimas (parliament) of Lithuania, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The sides discussed aspects concerning the Transnistrian file, from the viewpoint of the current formats of dialogue, the present problems on the agenda of the negotiations, current security architecture and the risks triggered by the war in Ukraine, which hit diverse spheres from Moldova.

The officials reiterated Lithuania’s firm support for the advancement in the process of Moldova’s accession to the European Union (EU), with emphasis on the need to enhance EU’s role in the Transnistrian settlement process too.

The deputy PM emphasized the willingness to organize, in Chisinau and abroad, international conferences on the Transnistria-related issues and the regional security context in the Black Sea basin.
