Moldovan dead in aviation accident in Sudan had over 35 years of experience in aviation

Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan citizen who died in an aviation accident in Sudan on 23 July had had over 35 years of experience as member of the technical staff, licenced B2, specialized in the onboard electronic apparatus, the Civil Aviation Authority has reported.
„He worked at more national air companies, among which Valan and Air Moldova and was licenced for more types of airships, such as AN-26, AN-28, AN-32, TU-134, Airbus 320 line,’’ the quoted source noted.
The Civil Aviation Authority reaffirms its solidarity and sympathy with the mourning families of the crew and technical staff. ‘’This is an immeasurable loss for the staff he was a member of and for the civil aviation, in general,’’ the institution said.
The aviation accident occurred in 23 July evening. The aircraft crashed on the airport from Port Sudan. In the wake of the accident, nine people died, among whom four soldiers. One child remained alive. The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) confirmed the fact that a citizen of Moldova had died in the wake of the aviation accident. His relatives asked for assistance for the repatriation of the body. MAEIE’s representatives said that consular decision-makers of the ministry took efforts needed to provide assistance in this case.
