Chisinau, July 26. /MOLDPRES/- Several teams of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) are trained in the liquidation of the consequences of the bad weather yesterday evening, which caused significant damages in localities in Edineț, Fălești, Râșcani, Glodeni, Soroca, Criuleni, Hâncești, Ștefan Vodă districts , Ialoveni, Ocnița, Drochia, Balti and Chişinău municipalities.

At this time, work is being carried out to clear local roads of trees blown down by the wind and to evacuate cars that have fallen on top of trees broken by strong gusts. The rescuers also intervened in the localities, where the wind tore the slate from the roofs of the houses.

According to IGSU, in the localities affected by the storm and torrential rains, the rescuers carried out over a hundred interventions to liquidate the consequences of the bad weather, with two hundred rescuers and 50 special vehicles being trained.

Yesterday's calamities did not cause victims, but only caused material damages, which are to be evaluated by the territorial commissions for emergency situations.
