Chisinau, July 26. /MOLDPRES/- Constitutional Court (CC) ruling on unconstitutionality of the Shor Party was published in the Official Journal today.
The CC decision was approved following several sessions examining the case, which lasted, with breaks, for more than a month.
According to the decision, the formation is considered dissolved. No act of the party issued until the court's decision is pronounced has no legal value, it is mentioned in the document. At the same time, the court decided that the Ministry of Justice should appoint a commission to liquidate the party, which will take all the necessary measures for its liquidation and deletion from the state register of legal entities.
The Shor Party representatives will continue to exercise their mandates, but as independent MPs without the right to affiliate with other parliamentary factions, as will the local representatives.
The examination process was initiated on the basis of a notification submitted to the CC by the Government, which requested the verification of the constitutionality of the Shor Party. During the hearings to examine the case, evidence was presented that the Shor Party would have bribed voters and participants in the protests, as well as organized their transportation.
