Chisinau, July 26. /MOLDPRES/- The Socialist Party said it "faces an unprecedented attack from an organized mafia group led by Ilan Shor". According to the formation, it would be the Renaștere Party, which would have tried to corrupt the members of the Socialist Party.
The formation said that in recent months, the representatives of the Shor Party, declared unconstitutional, and deputies Vasile Bolea, Irina Lozovan, Alexandr Nesterovschi and Alexander Suhodolschi would have contacted dozens of deputies, mayors, local councilors, leaders of PSRM territorial organizations, and - would have promised millions of lei for leaving the formation.
"Convicted fugitive Ilan Shor, using a clone party called Renastere, initiated a massive process of corrupting and buying off members of the Socialist Party. Such a thing did not happen even during the captured state of Vlad Plahotniuc. We strongly condemn the acts of political corruption with the participation of former PSRM deputies. In the territorial organizations where some representatives of the formation became the victims of such actions, the local party teams showed unity and within limited terms elected new leaders of the territorial organizations. The PSRM will not give in to the pressure of the mafia groups that hide under the false screen of the opposition", a press release of the PSRM reads.
At the same time, the socialists said they would have faced an attack from the ruling party as well.
The formations have not yet come with a reaction following the accusations brought.
