Moldovan deputy PM meets Ambassador of the Netherlands

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian has had a meeting with Ambassador of the Netherlands to Moldova Fred Duijn, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The officials brought for discussion the dynamic of the Chisinau-Tiraspol interaction and tackled the peaceful and sustainable settlement of the Transnistrian conflict, with the unconditional observance of Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The deputy PM for reintegration highlighted that the 5+2 format of negotiations would be suspended during the hostilities in Ukraine. Yet, the Chisinau authorities will continue maintaining the interaction with all important foreign partners, in order to advance in the process of comprehensive settlement.

Deputy PM Oleg Serebrian stressed that the Transnistrian region’s demilitarization and the ensuring of the international standards of human rights’ observance in this region would create the premises necessary for making progress in the settlement process.
