Moldovans to be able to get consular assistance also at diplomatic missions of Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan citizens who stay in the states where Moldova does not have diplomatic representation will benefit from consular assistance provided by the diplomatic missions of Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan. The parliament today ratified the convention of the member states of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM) on Mutual Assistance in Consular Matters.

Thus, Moldova’s citizens who are in difficult situations in the states where the country does not have diplomatic representation will be able to benefit from consular assistance provided by the diplomatic missions or the consular ones of the GUAM member states (Georgia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan). Similarly, Moldova will provide support to citizens of other states.

The Convention of the member states of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM) on Mutual Assistance in Consular Matters was signed in New York in 2022.
