Armenia interested in Moldova's experience in implementing LEADER program

Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- A delegation from Armenia is visiting the Republic of Moldova this week to take over the experience and best practices of our country in the implementation of the LEADER program, whose activity exceeds seven years, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) has reported.
The delegation members were informed about the policy documents and the current regulatory framework. The delegation also visited the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA), where they were given information on the financing mechanism of Local Action Groups from the National Fund for Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment.
In the following days, the delegation members will be familiar with the activity of 3 Local Action Groups from the north and south of the country. During the meetings, the Moldovan specialists will report on the organization, governing bodies, operation, financing and implementation of the projects, as well as their interaction with the LEADER network, the local and central public administration.
The LEADER program is an instrument for subsidizing LAGs, administered by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and implemented by the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture, with the support of the LEADER network and Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova.
