Moldovan Interior Ministry takes special measures, given return transit of Hasidic Jews

Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Hasidic Jews who marked the Jewish New Year in the Ukrainian city of Uman starting from today will cross the territory of Moldova, in order to continue their trip to the origin country. In the context, the institutions from the national security sector resume taking special measures for the management of the enhanced transit flow.        

According to the Interior Ministry (MAI), the Chisinau International Airport is prepared to manage the increased number of airships and passengers. Thus, a waiting stage meant for Hasidic Jews was set nearby the Airport. Also, tents meant for verifications were placed.   

„To avoid the overlapping with regular flights, special flows of processing the passengers’ papers are created and the shifts of staff are supplied. At the same time, the passengers of flights are urged to come to the Airport in advance. The access to the Airport will be strictly for the latter’s staff and passengers with tickets,’’ a MAI’s press release reads.    

Also, police crews will ensure the easing of the traffic on the national roads from the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing points, in order to avoid traffic jams.
