Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ - The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has finished the legal process of provisional nomination of the Vestmoldtransgaz limited company as operator of natural gas transportation system (OST) all over Moldova. Starting from 19 September, 00:00, the Vestmoldtransgaz limited company is in charge of the proper management and work of the natural gas transportation infrastructure and the Moldovatransgaz limited company will provide the maintenance services needed.
At a today’s ordinary meeting, the ANRE’s Administrative Board approved the contract on maintenance of the natural gas transportation networks, concluded between Moldovatransgaz Ltd and Vestmoldtransgaz Ltd.
„At the same time, the ANRE Administrative Board approved the contract on technical cooperation on the ensuring of the technical operation of the natural gas transportation network managed by Vestmoldtransgaz Ltd and of the natural gas transportation network managed by Moldovatransgaz Ltd, except for the financial provisions which will be approved under a separate decision,’’ ANRE noted.
The ANRE decisions stipulate that, if legislative amendments or unpredictable legal, technical or economic circumstances come about at the moment of the Contract’s conclusion, which will impose the need of adjusting the contractual clauses, the Agency will ask the sides, no matter their will, to change the Contracts in accordance with the de facto and de jure situation emerged.
In the end, the Administrative Board withdrew the licence issued to Moldovatransgaz Ltd for the natural gas transportation activity. Under the legislation, the non-observance by the holder of the licence of the legal provisions as to the separation, independence and/or the certification of the transportation system operator serves as ground for the withdrawal of the licence, according to a decision issued directly by the Agency, ANRE added.
