Parliament denounced three more agreements with CIS

Chisinau, 21 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Moldova denounced three more agreements concluded on the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) platform. The draft laws on the matter were voted in the first and second reading by the Parliament.
The Agreement on coordination of relations between the CIS states in the energy, the Agreement on ensuring parallel operation of the electric power systems of the CIS member countries and the Agreement on transit of energy and electricity of the CIS member states were denounced.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the provisions of the Agreement on coordination of relations between CIS member states in the energy are irrelevant and inapplicable to the Republic of Moldova.
The Agreement on ensuring parallel operation of the electric power systems of the CIS member countries was also denounced, as the provisions of the document can no longer be applied from a technical point of view.
Denunciation of the Agreement on transit of energy and electricity of the CIS member states reaffirms Moldova's intention to deepen cooperation relations and integration into the European energy markets.
