Moldovan PM says government backs country's villages, cities through concrete programmes

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Dorin Recean and citizens of the Lapusna village, central Hancesti district, have discussed programmes carried out by the cabinet for speeding up the development of settlements, as well as the problems faced by the citizens from the region, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM appreciated the contribution of the people from Lapusna and the local administration to the arrangement of an illuminated village, supplied with water and fully connected to gas supply. According to the prime minister, the people’s living standards will be enhanced even more, following the completion of the projects within the government’s programmes, European Village and Express European Village. The authorities stay focused on the carrying out of Moldova’s European agenda, the PM noted. He stressed that the starting of the negotiations with the European Union would provide, in the long run, access to additional funds, which are important for the modernization of the infrastructure from all over Moldova.
„We continue edifying Europe at home and laying the foundations of a prosperous state. The government backs the villages and cities of Moldova through concrete projects. Our priority is to protect the citizens – to ensure the peace and stability, to develop the economy and infrastructure, in order to create more well-paid jobs and quality public services,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.
In discussions, the citizens referred to the importance of reforming the social assistance system for stimulating people’s employment, the need to recalculate the pensions, rehabilitate local roads, as well as support the agricultural sector, especially small farmers. In the context, PM Dorin Recean emphasized that the government made effort to identify additional funds, in order to diminish the impact of the crises and invest in the country’s economic growth, increase in salaries and opening of new jobs.
