Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/ - An evening of sentimental songs took place at the headquarters of the National Ethnography and Natural History Museum today.
In the beginning of the event, the museum’s director, Petru Vicol, said that it had not been the first time when the museum organizes such concerts. He stressed that the goal of the evening was to delight the audience with slow, lyrical and sentimental songs, with the participation of more distinguished singers.
The event was organized in the context of the European Heritage Days and its goal is to promote and turn to good account the intangible cultural heritage. The European Heritage Days are organized jointly by the European Union and Council of Europe, which launched the action in 1985. This is one of the best known participatory cultural events in Europe. Through this event, the aforementioned museum is set to raise the awareness of the public about the wealth and diversity of the sentimental songs and to stimulate people’s interest in the nice connection between the sentimental lyrical poetry and music works.
