Moldovan electoral body accredited 80 observers to monitor general local elections

Chisinau, 26 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- At today's meeting, the Central Electoral Commission accredited 80 observers to monitor the general local elections of November 5.

Five persons from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Moldova and one person from the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia residing in Bucharest, Romania were accredited as international observers.

30 people from the Institute for Human Rights Public Association of Moldova and 44 people from the Promo-LEX Public Association were accredited as national observers.

The deadline for submitting requests for accreditation as an observer is seven days until election day, i.e.October 28.

The CEC has previously accredited 13 other international observers and 75 national observers.
