Moldovan speaker to deliver speech at European Conference of Speakers

Chisinau, 27 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu will attend European Conference of Speakers from the member states of the Council of Europe. The event will be held on September 28-29, in Dublin, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The European Summit will bring together speakers from 46 member states of the Council of Europe, many partner, observer and neighbouring countries, as well as the heads of several interparliamentary assemblies. The event will focus on the consequences of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and the role of national parliaments in Ukraine's reconstruction; the challenges to representative democracy in volatile times; equality and diversity in public representation – the participation of young people, women and ethnic and social groups as members of parliament.
Grosu will deliver a speech at the summit on the consequences of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
In Dublin, Grosu has scheduled meetings with his counterparts from Germany, Finland, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ukraine and Belgium. He will meet Moldovan citizens living, working or studying in Ireland.
The European Conference of Presidents of Parliament is held every two years under the auspices of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. More than 60 speakers and deputy speakers and around 400 delegates are expected to attend the event.
