Rehabilitation of national road crossing central Moldova district finished

Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/ - The works on rehabilitation of the national road G46 Dobrusa-Ignatei-Scorteni-Codru Nou – R14, km 22.610 - 35.622, Part 1, Corridor 10, have been finished. Today, a reception commission found out that the works were fully carried out, according to the project on implementation, roadmap and norms in force.      

According to the State Administration of Roads (ASD), a company from Turkey ensured the rehabilitation of 13 km of road, with a value of the contract of over 94 million lei – money allocated from loans provided by the World Bank to Moldova’s government within the Programme on Improvement of Local Roads.  

„Within this project, works on rehabilitation of the roadway were carried out, construction of over 1,000 square metres of sidewalks, the setting of over 230 road signs, 4,600 linear metres of metal parapet, over 230 pillars for managing the traffic and making of more than 5,200 square metres of road marking. Also, the system of drainage of rain waters was rehabilitated through the repair and reconstruction of small bridges and drains,’’ ASD said.      

The rehabilitation of this segment, according to the European standards, will bring significant improvements to the road infrastructure of the region, with major benefits for the residents of the Chistelnita and Scorteni village, central Telenesti district. ‘’To this end, special attention was paid not only to the quality of the road, but also to the social aspects and traffic security, including the arrangement of intersections with local streets, access to households, crosswalks, resonant lanes, as well as the construction of bus stations,’’ the quoted source added.     

The works carried out will be subjected to the period of remedying defects, when any defections detected during one year will be remedied at the expense of the entrepreneur, after which the final reception will take place.
