Appointed Minister of Finance to be sworn in today

Chisinau, 28 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Appointed Minister of Finance Petru Rotaru will be sworn in the presence of President Maia Sandu today. The appointment decree was signed by the head of state on September 27, as was the resignation of Minister Veronica Sirețeanu.

The event is scheduled for 15:00.

Yesterday evening, Prime Minister Dorin Recean said he had submitted to Maia Sandu the proposal to appoint Petru Rotaru as Minister of Finance, in the context of the end of Veronica Sirețeanu's mandate, who went on maternity leave.

Petru Rotaru has been active in the financial and fiscal field since 2006, both in the private and public sectors. In 2010-2012 he led Ialoveni State Fiscal Inspectorate, and starting this March he served as head of the State Fiscal Service.
