Moldovan parliament denounces three agreements of Commonwealth of Independent States

Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament denounces another three agreements concluded on the platform of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The MPs voted the drafts in the first reading.
Respectively, the parliament will denounce, at a proposal by the Defence Ministry, the Agreement between the CIS member states on the Strategic Armed Forces, concluded in Minsk on 30 December 1991.
Also, the Defence Ministry proposed to denounce the Agreement of the Council of the Heads of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States on the Armed Forces and Border Guards’ Troops, concluded in Minsk on 30 December 1991. According to the authorities, the usefulness of this Agreement is no longer up-to-date and no negative political consequences which might appear following the denunciation of this agreement were identified, as Moldova participates in the security system of the United Nations.
The parliament will also denounce the Agreement on the creation of the joint consultative commission on issues of disarmament, concluded in Bishkek on 9 October 1992.
