Moldovan president attends European Political Community Summit

Chisinau, Oct. 6 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu participated in the European Political Community Summit, hosted by Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, in Granada, Spain. Maia Sandu spoke with heads of the member countries of the European Union and of non-EU countries about the challenges facing our continent, the presidential press service has reported.
The official expressed solidarity with the neighboring country. "Just like half a year ago, when I hosted this meeting in the Republic of Moldova, together with the other European partners, I reiterated my solidarity with Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The free world must continue support for Ukraine. The security of all of us depends on this support", said the Moldovan president.
The head of state reconfirmed that Moldova's place is in the European family and urged the European heads to continue supporting the European path of our country and to join their efforts, together with us, against those who undermine our democratic processes in the country. "We talked about the reforms we are implementing and the EU accession process. I reiterated that joining the EU is the only way to protect democracy in Moldova", Maia Sandu said.
