Today - last day to submit documents for registration as electoral competitor for general local elections

Chisinau, Oct. 6 /MOLDPRES/- Today is the last day to submit the documents for registration as an electoral competitor and to change the list of candidates for the general local elections.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, after the submission of the documents, the constituency electoral councils have seven days to examine the files and to register or refuse registration in the electoral race.

Registered electoral contestants can today make the last changes in the lists of candidates, by requesting the replacement of a candidate from the list by withdrawing him and appointing another candidate.

Also, political parties and electoral blocs have the right to request, no later than 10 days before the election day changes in the list of candidates by changing the place of order or excluding (withdrawal) the candidate or to withdraw the entire list of candidates. The constituency electoral council, in no more than three days from the date of submission of the application, adopts the decision regarding the modification of the competitor's list of candidates.

The general local elections will be held on November 5.
