Moldovans having worked in Ukraine or Albania to receive pensions

Chisinau, Oct. 6 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan citizens who have worked in Ukraine or Albania could benefit from pensions or other social benefits. The members of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration approved today the initiation of negotiations for the signing of agreements in the social security between the Republic of Moldova and the two countries - Ukraine and Albania.
The agreements will refer to people who are or have been subject to the legislation, such as employees, self-employed workers, seconded workers, staff of diplomatic missions and consular posts.
Thus, the persons concerned will be able to benefit from age limit pensions, disability pensions caused by general ailments, pensions and disability allowances following accidents at work or caused by occupational diseases and survivor's pensions.
So far, Moldova has concluded social security agreements with 17 states, and 15 of them are in force.
