Schedule of National Wine Day-2023 includes tastings, music, cultural activities, authentic experiences

Chisinau, 7 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Centre of the Chisinau city becomes host to the National Wine Day. With the slogan, Our Wine Conquers the World, the edition from 7-8 October 2023 will highlight the outstanding achievements of the Wine of Moldova. Over 90 wine-makers will be present at the event to present their works and the visitors will enjoy tastings, live music with folk bands and well-known artists, as well as numerous cultural activities and authentic experiences.
The official ceremony on the opening of the event takes place today at 11:00. Traditionally, the people of wine who have contributed to the development of the sector will receive prizes for the efforts taken and the progress made. The atmosphere will be completed by rhythms of music in festive spirit. Starting from 13:30, interactive workshops will be held at the Wine School and visitors interested will be able to be initiated in the art of tasting wines and cognacs, as well as in their moderate and responsible consumption.
The visitors of the National Wine Day will also have possibility to watch concerts by national folk bands and listen to well-known light music singers, till 22:00.
The second day of the event will be marked by a ceremony of handing over the prize, Golden Tun, on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce – a distinction awarded to the producers and wine-makers who made progress in the wine-making art.
For people who failed to go to workshops on the first day, the Wine School continues to provide trainings on the moderate consumption and tasting of wines and cognac till 17:00.
The second day of the holiday will also comprise concerts by dance bands. Afterwards, well-known folk and light music singers will delight the audience till 22:00.
During the two days of the National Wine Day in the time interval 12:00-19:00, guests are urged to visit the Fair of Popular Craftsmen and to take part in master-classes of the Peasants’ Yard.
The National Wine Day is organized by the National Office of Vine and Wine, Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry, with the support of the strategic partner United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Moldova, through the Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity Project.
