Over 400 servicemen of Moldova's National Army participate in blood donation campaign

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - Over 400 servicemen of the National Army and students of the Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy donated blood and plasma during 28 September – 5 October. The actions are part of the third blood donation campaign organized this year.

According to the medical and military directorate of the Defence Ministry, Alexandru Lesan, on the concerned period, the soldiers donated blood at the collection points organized at the military units from the central and northern Moldova.

At the same time, Lesan noted that, since the beginning of this year, over 1,300 seasoned and contract military, as well as civilian employees of the National Army had donated blood and plasma. The collections were carried out during the campaigns taking place in partnership with the specialized institutions of Moldova.

The next blood donation campaign will be held in December 2023.
