Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/ - Entrepreneurs from the agro-tourism sector and representatives of competent non-governmental organizations from northern Moldova have been trained on how to use digital instruments and platforms for promoting businesses in the tourist sector. A workshop to this effect took place in Balti, in the context of the Days of the North Development Region, the ninth edition, held in September-October this year.
The workshop was organized by the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord), in partnership with Pro4CE – Slovakian company specialized in providing consultancy in the fields of ecological agriculture, tourism and investments in the Central Europe.
ADR Nord director Maria Prisacari welcomed the initiative of the Slovakian partners to back the development of the agro-tourism in north Moldova. ‘’We thus encourage initiatives which bring to the forefront instruments of promoting business and the way they can be used efficiently. This is the second project which we implement in cooperation with Pro4CE and we are happy that we have occasion to take over Slovakia’s experience in the field of developing agro-tourism,’’ the ADR Nord head said.
At the event, the Pro4CE executive director, Erik Heidema, and the experts who accompanied him presented to providers of tourist services a string of digital instruments and online platforms on promotion, as well as success examples as regards the enforcement of digital instruments and platforms in the management of business. At the same time, during a group activity, the participants in the workshop analyzed the digital instruments and platforms unveiled, through which regional producers can enhance their supplies of gastronomic and rural adventure.
„They key word for the agro-tourism sector’s development in your region is the storytelling – the art of story. In the next three months, we have enough time to support you to digitally promote your own business. We will help you be present on social networks, on the platforms provided by Google,’’ the Pro4CE executive director said.
The project, Digital Development of Agro-tourism in North Moldova Region, financed by Slovak Challenge Fund (SCF), is set to stimulate the local business with organic food products from north Moldova through the opening of the access to the online market for the local producers. The project is financed by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia and implemented by the Regional Centre of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) from Istanbul. In 2021, within the first project implemented by ADR Nord and the Slovakian company Pro4CE, more tourist destinations of Moldova were promoted for the first time ever, through spots and galleries of photographs distributed in the online environment. Subsequently, the most representative photos appeared in some publications.
