Moldovan government set up new energy vulnerability categories

Chisinau, Oct. 11 /MOLDPRES/- The government is supplementing the system of granting compensation for bills with two new categories of energy vulnerability: primary and maximum. The changes will allow offering a higher compensation for the most vulnerable households, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

An energy compensation in the form of a monetary payment will also be set up. In this regard, the Cabinet approved the modification of the information system concept Energy Vulnerability (SIVE).

Energy Vulnerability information system was completed with a new module - "Eco-Voucher". It is intended to record all information regarding subsidies granted for the replacement of outdated electrical and electronic household appliances, replacement of windows, thermal insulation of homes.

The Eco-Voucher module will allow the digitization of financial aid projects for the efficiency of the consumption of energy resources and the valorization of renewable energy sources, the monitoring of the implementation process of these programs, the centralized record of the beneficiaries of the vouchers and the economic agents participating in the program e-Voucher. The module will be managed by the Energy Efficiency Agency under the Ministry of Energy.
