Chisinau, Oct. 12 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea today presented the Regulation on the organization and operation of the commission for licensing grain imports from Ukraine.
Under the document, only legal entities or private people who carry out economic activities in the oil and vegetable fat production, milling products, preparations for feeding farm animals and animal breeding will have the right to receive import licenses.
"The request for issuing the import license must be accompanied by documents justifying the need to replenish stocks. Applications for the issuance of import licenses will be examined by a committee made up of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA), the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, the National Agency for Food Safety, as well as representatives of relevant associations", he said.
The applications will be accompanied by a package of documents and data that will be verified by the commission, being released after issuing a confirmatory act.
The Commission for Emergency Situations ordered on October 4 the regulation by authorization, during the state of emergency, of the import of some agricultural goods. The need to introduce licensing for the import of wheat, corn and sunflower seeds was explained by maintaining the domestic market for cereal products and a sustainable price.
