Austria to finance construction of college in electronics field in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Austrian authorities will finance the construction of a college in the electronics sector in Chisinau. The new institution will provide programmes on vocational education in accordance with the Austrian standards. The college is to start working as of 1 September 2025.

The subject to this effect was discussed at a meeting between Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun and his Austrian counterpart Martin Polaschek in Vienna.

According to the Education and Research Ministry, at the meeting, the two ministers signed a letter of intent for the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding between Moldova’s Education and Research Ministry (MEC) and the Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Research of Austria. The document envisages the extension of the cooperation on the field of education and professional training through joint projects, which are to contribute to the economic growth of the two countries.
