Fight against disinformation discussed at Presidency with German partners

Chisinau, Oct. 16 /MOLDPRES/- The presidential team discussed joint efforts in countering disinformation with German partners, in the context of the creation of the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation.
According to the presidential press service, chief of staff of President Maia Sandu Adrian Băluțel and advisor for foreign affairs and strategic communication Olga Roșca had a meeting with Margret Uebber, German Ambassador to Chisinau, Claudia Hermes, Country Director of GIZ Moldova, and project manager Martina Karaparusheva. The discussions took place in the context of the launch of a new GIZ project in Moldova - Info Trust Alliance, financed by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the context of security challenges in the region and hybrid attacks on the Republic of Moldova, the Info Trust Alliance project will support the partner institutions in ensuring the information security of citizens. During the discussions, it was reiterated that this new commitment reaffirms the strong Moldovan-German partnership and the common vision for a more resilient Moldova.
