Over 30 states, dozens of international, financial organizations to bring together in Chisinau at fourth edition of Moldova Support Platform

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova on 17 October 2023 will host the fourth edition of the Moldova Support Platform, launched at an initiative of Romania, Germany and France, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Over 30 states and dozens of international and financial organizations will bring together, in order to mobilize the assistance needed on three principal directions in Moldova’s development: budgetary support, creation of a Fund for Infrastructure and the residential fund for energy efficiency.
According to the conference’s agenda, a string of memorandums for Moldova will be signed, after which the event will be opened by Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The co-founders of the Platform – the heads of the French, German and Romanian delegations - will give greeting speeches at the event.
Subsequently, the participants will discuss on the presentations held by Energy Minister Victor Parlicov and Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu. Following the roundtable, the officials will come up with results and conclusions according to topic-related working groups, set up on six pillars: humanitarian effort, energy, fighting corruption, borders’ management, financial assistance, administration’s reform and management of public money.
The event will end with a speech by President Maia Sandu, followed by a news conference held by the foreign affairs ministers of those four countries – France, Germany, Romania and Moldova.
At the previous meetings of the Moldova Support Platform, held in Berlin, Paris and Bucharest, Moldova received support for the compensation of the expenses in invoice, providing assistance to farmers and carrying out of infrastructure projects.
