Moldovan president says EU's enlargement investment in security of entire European continent

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu is on an official visit to the Czech Republic, at an invitation by President Petr Pavel, the presidential press service has reported.
During her visit, the Moldovan president said that, in parallel, more events bringing Moldova and the Czech Republic close were held in the Czech capital. On these days, the fifth meeting of the Moldovan-Czech intergovernmental commission, a forum of business people from both countries is held in Prague and the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre participates in the Palm Off Fest festival of theatres from the Central and Eastern Europe.
„The events from this week represent a proof of a close and warm bilateral relation. I discussed with President Pavel how we should deepen the economic cooperation. I voiced hope that Moldova would stay, in continuation, a priority of the Czech assistance,’’ Maia Sandu said.
„In the discussion with my Czech counterpart, I reconfirmed the common vision that the European Union’s enlargement is an investment in the security of the entire continent. Moldova is grateful to the Czech Republic for our European integration way,’’ the Moldovan head of state added.
