Fourth edition of Moldova Support Platform held in Chisinau

Chisinau, Oct. 17 /MOLDPRES/- Over 30 states and dozens of international and financial organizations are meeting today in Chisinau, within the fourth edition of Moldova Support Platform.

The participants will come together to mobilize the necessary help in three main directions in the development of the Republic of Moldova - budgetary support, the creation of an Infrastructure Fund and the residential fund for energy efficiency.

The official delegations are to arrive at the Palace of the Republic by 09.50.

During the meeting, several memorandums for the Republic of Moldova will be signed, after which the event will be opened by Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The co-founders of the Platform - the heads of the French, German and Romanian delegations - will also speak with a word of greeting. The event will end with the speech by president Maia Sandu, followed by a press conference, supported by the foreign ministers of the four countries - France, Germany, Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

The Moldova Support Platform is an initiative of Romania, Germany and France, which aims to generate immediate political, financial and material assistance, as well as expertise for the reform process, from the institutions and member states of the European Union, the G7 countries, international financial institutions and international organizations, as well as other development partners.

The first edition took place in Berlin, Germany, on April 5, 2022. The second edition was organized in Bucharest, Romania, on July 15, 2022. The third edition was held in Paris, France on November 21, 2022.
