Chisinau, Oct. 17 /MOLDPRES/- Over 30 public institutions in Chisinau and Balti will be connected and reconnected to the centralized heating systems. The works are to be completed by mid- November and will be carried out by Termoelectrica Chisinau and CET Nord Balti.
Thus, in Chisinau, 20 public buildings will be reconnected to the centralized heating system, including the Customs Service and the National Anticorruption Center. In Bălți, 20 territorial offices will be heated this year with centralized heating agent. Among the offices targeted are those of the Northern Customs Bureau, the Balti Multifunctional Center, the territorial offices of the Intelligence and Security Service, the National Anticorruption Center, and the Moldovan Post Office.
The action is implemented in the context of the approval of a Government decision, by which public institutions are recommended to rationally consume energy resources, both in the context of ensuring the energy security of the state, and in terms of optimizing financial resources.
Last year, by an order of the Commission for Emergency Situations, 24 buildings in Balti and eight buildings in Chisinau, including the Parliament and the Presidency, were reconnected to the centralized heating systems. According to the Ministry of Energy, only in the case of public institutions from Bălți, the concerned entities saved approximately 3.2 million lei in the last cold season, plus another 10 million lei (500 thousand euros) saved by the Bălți City Hall.
