Moldovan finance ministry benefits from technical assistance on behalf of U.S. Department of the Treasury

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Finance Ministry on 16-20 October hosts a delegation of the United States Department of the Treasury, led by Stacy Johnson. The visit is paid in the context of the launch of a technical assistance mission, the goal of which is to consolidate the operational capacities of the Department of the Treasury within the Finance Ministry.

According to the Finance Ministry, the mission puts emphasis on the process of counseling. The experts are to provide recommendations for the implementation of the best international practices, in order to ensure the sustainability of the budgetary reforms started by the ministry.

During the week, the representatives of the U.S. Department of the Treasury are to hold discussions both with Finance Minister Petru Rotaru and the heads of the subdivisions in charge of the treasury and budgetary system at the ministry and the institutions subordinated.
