GENERAL LOCAL ELECTIONS-2023 in Moldova: Synthesis of 18 October day

Chisinau, 18 October /MOLDPRES/ - The electoral agenda of the 18 October day included a news briefing given by the candidate for the office of Chisinau general mayor on behalf of the European Social Democratic Party (PSDE), Vadim Branzaniuc, on the subject of settling the problem of the dwellings’ fund in the Moldovan capital.
„In the next four years, I will implement a comprehensive programme on urban regeneration, which provides for the rehabilitation of the entire municipal dwellings’ fund, among which the modernization of the façades and thermal insulation of all apartment buildings, rehabilitation of entrances and engineering networks, replacement of lifts, arranging of car parks and playgrounds, as well as the repair of all roads of access to apartment buildings’ yards. One billion lei will be allocated from the municipal budget for this programme in all. I give you assurances that I know how to find this money, to solve this problem, which I regard as priority,’’ Branzaniuc said.
The president of the National Alternative Movement Party (MAN), Ion Ceban, at a today’s news conference, referred to the external relations of the city hall, projects in the city backed by the European Union and other development partners. Ceban also presented more programmes dealing with investments, tourism, Startup for young people and migrants.
Today evening, a protest action was staged nearby the campaign tent of the team of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (DA), outside the headquarters of Posta Moldovei (Moldova’s Post) enterprise. The protest was led by the candidate for the office of Chisinau general mayor on behalf of DA, Victor Chironda.
„We give one leu each for Ceban’s ticket to Tatarstan. We protest against the lies and threats by Ivan Ceban and those who are behind him. We support the European future of Chisinau and of Moldova!’’ the candidate of DA said.
The candidate of the Coalition for Unity and Well-being (CUB) for the office of Chisinau general mayor, Ion Bulgac, in a press release, promises to bring to Chisinau the biggest festival of urban music at the Eastern border of Europe and tens of millions of euros in investments. According to Bulgac, this event will position Chisinau on the cultural map of the European Union and will attract additional financial resources for the local economy.
