Moldovan, European officials approach important issues

Chisinau, Oct. 26 /MOLDPRES/- As part of the Global Gateway Forum, Prime Minister Dorin Recean met with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The premier thanked the official for the constant support and the macro-financial assistance of 72.5 million euros, announced by the European Commission, which represents additional support for the authorities.
Out of the amount released, 50 million euros represent a loan under preferential conditions, and 22.5 million euros - a non-refundable grant. Financial assistance will be transferred by the end of this month and will be directed to ensuring macro-financial stability and planning new reforms, which will boost the European integration process of our country.
"Moldova's accession to the European Union is the basic priority of the Government, and our commitment to implement the recommendations of the European Commission is stronger, having the support of European partners", said Recean.
Thanks to the resources, the government will continue efforts to strengthen energy security and concrete projects, which will help Moldova further invest in diversifying energy sources, improving infrastructure and social programs.
