Customs services of Moldova, Romania look for solutions to ease cross-border traffic

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service of Moldova and the Customs Authority of Romania today held a meeting on the customs cooperation, in order to ease the traffic at the border crossing points between the two states.   

According to the Customs Service, the event was organized with the support of Romania’s Embassy in Moldova, in order to boost the bilateral dialogue between the customs authorities from the two countries, to speed up the crossing of the common border.  

One of the subjects discussed was the easing of the trafficking of goods through the Moldovan-Romanian border and the actions undertaken by the authorities of the two states. At the same time, the sides discussed also the improvement of the capacity of the infrastructure and the efficiency of the services at the border checkpoints, in order to ensure the accessibility to the Trans-European transport network.
