Over 1,800 Moldovan citizens came home from Israel

Chisinau, Oct. 27 /MOLDPRES/- Since the beginning of the war in Israel, 1,855 Moldovan citizens have returned home by air, and 591 have gone to Tel-Aviv. Government spokesperson Daniel Vodă unveiled the updated data today.
"As regards Rafah crossing, it was opened for humanitarian aid, but unfortunately remains closed for the evacuation of civilians. The authorities maintain a constant dialogue with foreign partners, we are talking here about Egypt, but also the State of Israel, as well as Romania and Ukraine in order to plan the evacuation operation, when it will be possible, of our citizens from the Gaza Strip, to ensure that these people are safe", said Daniel Vodă.
This week, two Israeli airlines announced they will operate direct flights from Tel Aviv to Chisinau from November, to facilitate the return home of our country's citizens.
