PHOTO Valentin Ignatenco Clinical Municipal Hospital for Children from Moldovan capital receives modern tomograph

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Emergency Receptions Unit of the Chisinau-based Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children has been endowed with a new tomograph. The apparatus’ value is of 15.2 million lei.
Attending the event on the inauguration of the equipment was President Maia Sandu, the leadership of the Health Ministry and Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Yamada Yoichiro.
The head of state thanked the foreign partners and the medical system employees for the dedication with which they work. Maia Sandu noted that the cabinet today had approved the increase in the salaries of the medical employees. She stressed that, on the next period, the authorities would work to increase the economy, which will allow other salary increases.
In the lack of the computerized tomograph, the children were transferred to other institutions for carrying out the highly accurate investigations. The Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children was provided with this equipment by the Health Ministry, in the context of the implementation of the agreement on grant within the programme on economic and social development financed by Japan’s government.
On the last period, the Health Ministry has endowed the Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children also with other equipment, amounting to about 18 million lei. This equipment includes ultrasound apparatus, lung ventilators, apparatus for monitoring the vital functions, lamps and surgery tables.
