Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau-based Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children received a computerized tomograph today. Attending the event on the delivery of the medical device was also President Maia Sandu, the presidential press service has reported.
„This modern equipment will help physicians save children’s lives through the correct diagnosing and in due time of the health problems,’’ the head of state said.
The hospital’s endowment with a computerized tomograph was possible due to a donation on behalf of the government of Japan, which delivered medical equipment worth over 15 million lei for the Valentin Ignatenco Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children.
„In the last years, we have engaged in a serious effort of modernization of the hospitals from Moldova. During this year, 12 medical and sanitary institutions of the republican, municipal and district levels will benefit from computerized tomographs. I thanked the hospital’s employees for their daily work dedicated to children’s health. We will continue doing our utmost to improve the health services and to provide a worthy life to our citizens,’’ Maia Sandu said.
