Russian citizen involved in terrorist activities detained in Moldova

Chisinau, Oct. 29 /MOLDPRES/- Border police officers of the Southern Regional Directorate identified and detained a Russian citizen, wanted by Interpol.
According to the Border Police, the 37-year-old man was wanted by the Russian authorities, he would be involved in terrorist activities and affiliation with international terrorist organizations. The Russian citizen arrived in our country through Transnistria.
The man will spend the next 72 hours in the temporary detention cell of IP Cahul, while the authorities prepare his case for presentation in court, to make a decision and extradite him.
Under Russian law, the person faces life imprisonment.
