President of Portugal to visit Moldova

Chisinau, Oct. 29 /MOLDPRES/- President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will be on an official visit to Moldova on October 30-31, following an invitation of President Maia Sandu.

According to the presidential press service, on Monday, Rebelo de Sousa will be welcomed with military honors at the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova, after which he will hold meetings with President Maia Sandu and members of the delegations. Later, they will hold a joint press conference.

During the day, the Portuguese president will meet Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean, and will lay flowers at the monument of Stefan cel Mare.

On Tuesday, Rebelo de Sousa will have discussions with students of the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences of the Moldova State University.

The two officials will attend a forum organized by the Investment Agency, during which opportunities in Moldova will be presented to Portuguese companies. On the sidelines of the event, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the investment agencies of both countries will also be held.
