Chisinau, 6 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) on 5 November got over 240 mayor mandates all over Moldova and 153 PAS candidates will compete in the runoff election. PAS president Igor Grosu made statements to this effect at a news briefing today.
Grosu thanked the citizens for the trust given and the teams of the formation for the work carried out. ‘’I express gratitude for each vote given to the pro-European candidates. It is necessary that we do pro-European coalitions in as many districts and villages as possible, work together, so that all Moldovans have better living conditions. Europe won in Moldova in most settlements. Now, we need to start working and really bring the European living standards to our homes,’’ Igor Grosu said.
„The Action and Solidarity Party worked in a difficult campaign, with an unprecedented interference on behalf of a foreign country with our domestic affairs, with dirty money and with propaganda which created distrust in the society. The Kremlin and the pro-Russian forces threw everything they could in this campaign; they relied on crime rings, as well as on political forces disguised in pro-European. Despite this unprecedented interference of a foreign state, PAS and the European teams of candidates got the best result on the country,’’ Igor Grosu added.
