Ukrainian refugee children to get free medical care

Chisinau, Nov. 7 /MOLDPRES/- Ukrainian refugee children in the Republic of Moldova benefit from free medical services, regardless of whether they have temporary protection status or not.
According to the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM), the expenses in this regard will be covered by the UNICEF through the CNAM, based on an amendment signed by the two institutions at the action plan of the Partnership Agreement for 2023-2024.
The package of services offered free of charge to this category of beneficiaries includes pre-hospital emergency medical care, primary care (offered by the family doctor's team) and hospital emergency care.
The budget planned by CNAM and UNICEF to provide medical services to refugee children from Ukraine in January 2023 - February 2024 is 21 million lei.
