Moldova to borrow 86 million euros for construction of Balti Regional Hospital

Chisinau, Nov. 8 /MOLDPRES/- The Council of Europe Development Bank will grant the Republic of Moldova a loan of 86 million euros for the construction of the Balti Regional Hospital. The draft law that provides for the ratification of a loan in this regard was examined by the parliamentary commission for economy, budget and finance today.

The loan covers 80% of the project's total €108 million cost. Thus, in the north of the country, a modern hospital will be built, with an area of 38 thousand square meters. It will be equipped with 340 hospital beds and 78 ambulatory services beds.

The Bălți Regional Hospital will be built on a plot of land outside the village of Corlățeni, Râșcani district. The project is to be implemented until 2028.
