36 Moldovan citizens evacuated from Gaza Strip reached Romania

Chisinau, Nov. 9 /MOLDPRES/- The 36 Moldovan citizens evacuated from the Gaza Strip have reached Romania, and are currently on their way to Chisinau. Speaker Igor Grosu made the statement at the beginning of today's plenary session of the parliament.
The speaker thanked the Romanian leadership and the Egyptian authorities for the support offered in evacuating the Moldovan citizens.
The 36 Moldovans landed in Bucharest with a special aircraft, together with Romanian citizens. They started from Bucharest, arriving in Chisinau in the first part of this day.
Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu went to Egypt specifically to be with the Romanians brought home from the Gaza Strip. Upon arrival at Otopeni airport, Marcel Ciolacu said that 129 citizens, both Romanians with Romanian citizenship and Romanians from the Republic of Moldova, were recovered.
According to the Moldovan diplomacy, 50 Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip requested assistance, including evacuation.
