Parliament welcomed European Commission's recommendation to start Moldova's EU accession negotiations

Chisinau, Nov. 9 /MOLDPRES/- Parliament welcomed at today's plenary session the European Commission's recommendation to start Moldova's accession negotiations to the European Union.
Speaker Igor Grosu said that yesterday Moldova received a good news for the future of our country.
"This decision must make us even more responsible in our process of reforming the Republic of Moldova, by carrying out all the reforms expected by our citizens, because we all want to live in a safe and prosperous state", he said.
Grosu noted that the country has a clear path ahead to a European Moldova. "We will succeed through unity, wise choices and a lot of work. Now we have to step up our accession efforts and we are optimistically awaiting the final decision of the European Council regarding the start of negotiations, which will take place in mid-December", he said.
He wished success to all the institutions involved in Moldova's accession process to the EU.
